Vinfast has, in fact, unveiled the VF8 and VF9 electric SUVs, that it has designed with Pininfarina. Also, they do fall into the D- and E-segments and they will first go on sale in Europe. Plus, in the second half of the year, before also reaching U.S. shores sometime before 2022 that would conclude.
Vinfast VF8
The smaller of the two, the two-row VF8 will cost in Europe. Moreover, first in Germany and the Netherlands which is equivalent to around $39,400. However, the three-row VF9 starts at about $53,700. Also, the pricing for the U.S. market has been announced. In fact, Vinfast did say it is currently not planning to enter the UK market with its present range of models.
Los Angeles Auto Show Revealed the Vinfast VF e35 and e36
Indeed, the Los Angeles Auto Show was revealed last year as the Vinfast VF e35 and e36.
Vinfast says, for the VF8, the maximum range is up to 313 miles for the bigger of the two available batteries. They are estimated to be around 90 kWh). Moreover, the smaller battery pack does drop to a range of 285 miles.
The Vinfast says the VF8 is going to offer up to 402 horsepower. Plus 457 pound-feet of torque with a dual motor configuration. Also, there is a single motor version with 201 horsepower that will kick off the range. In essence, the manufacturer has not yet confirmed these powertrain options for the larger VF9. However, they will probably be carried over.
In fact, larger battery packs are what VF9 could come with. It offers a range of up to 423 miles. Moreover, it will take the VF8 24 minutes and the VF9 26 minutes to charge from 10 to 70 percent. Therefore, it is according to the spec sheet which is shown during the vehicles’ recent European debut.
