The Senator Jacky Rosen has made it known that there will be a new high-speed rail project coming soon to Las Vegas. With $3 billion in funding, the train tracks will be laid down soon enough, as funding for the Brightline West will be coming in from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. In the release itself, the project is said to be able to connect Las Vegas and Southern California in an effort to boost the tourism all along Southern Nevada. Meanwhile, it is also said to lessen the congestion upon the Interstate 15.
Brightline West believes that the high-speed rail will be instrumental from taking away a massive quantity of traffic that always floods the I-15. In such an effort, about 400,000 tons of carbon emissions had been reduced every year, all while starting up a quantity of 35,000 decent union positions.
It’s a widespread hope that the project will change the game for Nevada’s very own tourism economy, as there will not only be more visitors brought to the state, but also thousands of great jobs and less carbon emissions will occur, all as it relies on local union labors. There are way too many pluses to the high-speed rail, given that it will be efficient for the city and it’s denizens. There is a constant push for the United States’ Department of Transportation to lock-in critical funding for the means of upholding solid tourism.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg truly believes in the pursuit of a high-speed rail to add between Nevada and California. And for good reason!
